Joe Bob
Nuu-chah-nulth Artist

 

Joe Bob was born to Joseph and Dorothy Bob. Joe is a Coast Salish Artist. Joe Bob credits William Good, Alfred Robertson, and Francie Horne for inspiring him to become a carver. Joe has been carving since 1981. He comes from a family of carvers. His brothers, uncles and cousins all are traditional first nations carvers. Joe Bob grew up in various regions of the Pacific Northwest. He is also a fisherman and a logger, but spends most of his time carving. He has three children, ages six, eight, and ten years old.
