Here are some good spots to visit along the way to the House of Himwitsa.

Top of Hydro Hill - View of Kennedy Lake
Kennedy Lake has many spots to pull over and jump in for a swim very refreshing.
The Pacific Rim Visitor Centre is the junction to Tofino &
Ucluelet.
Turn Right and your just another 33 Km to Tofino.
As soon as you turn right to Tofino you enter the Pacific Rim National Park.
The black bears start to show up in March and can be seen right up into October.
The Wickaninnish Beach has great trails, beaches, bog trail with
wheelchair access
a restaurant and the interpretive centre.
The Rain Forest has two 1 km board walk trails, this is my favorite trail
by far.
Combers Beach is inbetween Wickaninnish and Long Beach also a great trail.
In the summer
time it's a great idea to be one of the first at Long Beach.
The parking lots fill up faster than all others in the park.
Schooner Cove has a great trail to the beach all boardwalk.
Long Beach Golf Course great 9 hole course.
Radar Hill great
place to possibly spot the Grey Whale's & Humpback Whale's passing by
the coast.
You will definitely
need some binoculars, wheelchair accessibility.
Tofino
Chamber of Commerce Information Centre.
Chestermans Beach is one of my favorite local beaches for sure.
The welcome to Tofino sign is on 3rd street, the Himwitsa is located on 1st street.
Once you hit
the only blinking red light in Tofino which is on first street
take a right and we are at the bottom of the Hill.
Tofino Air is
located right below us and I would highly recommend
doing a scenic flight. What an experience!
