Unlike other young Woodlands artists he chose not to follow the style of the Woodlands Movement founders Norval Morrisseau and Carl Ray who depicted legends and did x-ray or medicine painting. Chee Chee adopted a minimal graphics style and used elegant flowing lines against a white clean background to create power in his art. Chee Chee's artistic career was very brief.
