Robert Rufus
Kwaguilth Artist

  Robert was born on northern Vancouver Island in Alert Bay. His native band is Kwaguilth Robert spent much of his childhood in the Victoria area on southern Vancouver Island. Robert has been carving for the last five years, mostly in cedar. Robert acknowledges Garry Thomas for inspiring & teaching him carving techniques. Robert enjoys carving as it helps him get in touch & share his rich culture heritage.
